There are many issues going on throughout the world today. Homelessness being a major one, it is important to be aware and educated on the topic. To best help people and make this issue aware, I wanted to provide you with as many resources as possible. Below there is an abundance of resources with descriptions for each one! Please leaf through them and be sure to check them out. There is so much information out there!!
By far this is one of my favorite websites to find information and resources on homelessness. This page and group is dedicated 100% towards homelessness awareness and support to those who need it. They even have a Center for Learning on their page where you can sign up to take a class. This class provides even more information and awareness on homelessness. In addition to this amazing resource, their website also has information on homelessness (basic statistics and background information), ways to end homelessness, and places for you to aid their mission in your community. There are endless resources on this website and I highly recommend checking it out!
This PDF gives a great overview and detail towards major causes of homelessness. I also wrote a blog post about the causes of homelessness so be sure to check that out too!
This article describes homelessness, certain patterns that have developed so far, and ways to break those patterns. With 5 charts, descriptions and more, this article lays out the homelessness cycle really well.
This website, Canadian based, has great information on homelessness. Here they have solutions to homelessness, background information and community stories. They also have a really neat section for research. There are many trends and patterns to homelessness which may help us learn how to best end it. Research within communities and engaging those communities is really important to spreading awareness.
This site has some great resources for those who are homeless veterans! This is also a link to the VA Disability Calculator - veteransguide.org/va-disability-calculator/.
This is a new link regarding mesothelioma. This is a serious cancer and there is a great deal of information here as well as how to get support.
