what is homelessness?

There are mounds and mounds of issues that this world entails and one of them is homelessness. In order to solve most problems, you have to know what the problem is first. So what exactly is homelessness? After reading through numerous credible sources (some of which are below), homelessness is defined as a state where one person or group of people is living without a permanent home. There are many pathways that can lead to this state of life. Everyone’s story is different whether you are homeless or not. Looking into the stories of those who are homeless, there are a lot of similar patterns. Poverty, lack of affordable housing, unchanging minimum wage, no health care, domestic violence and several other paths can lead to homelessness. The common trend, however, is that they all result in the same thing, homelessness. No home, no roof over a head and much more is lost
Homelessness is a major problem and in order to tackle a big problem, it will take many small steps. A big part of those suffering from homelessness is not being able to take the first step. There comes a point where resources are limited for those without stable housing or income and this is where shelters and donations are a big help. With our bracelet sales and donations, we are able to donate funds or needed items to local shelters to support those who need it.
We all need a little love and some days more than others, so be sure to spread love where you can and remember to ask for it when you need it! We can’t fill someone else’s bucket if our own bucket is empty and I really hope that you will get to join our online community. Learning about homelessness and making others aware is one part, but the other part is continuing to support others in love!
